What Coin Collector Arcade is
Coin Collector Arcade is a free browser arcade built around a single genre: coin collection games. We build the games, write the guides and run the site. There are currently 30 playable games and 17 guides, all of them original work.
Everything here runs in the browser. There is no download, no installer, no account and no purchase. Open a game page and it plays.
What you can play
The catalogue covers six categories that reflect genuine mechanical differences rather than themes: platformers where you control the pace, endless collectors that generate the course as you run, treasure hunts built around rare high-value pickups, obstacle courses where the hazards are the real problem, coin rush games about raw throughput, and minimal-input reflex games — some with a single control.
The games share an engine but not a design. A platformer and an endless runner here are not the same game with different art; they use different physics, different collectible layouts and different scoring balances, and they play nothing alike.
Virtual coins, and what that means
Every coin on this site is a virtual in-game collectible. Coins, gems, tokens and treasure chests have point values inside a game and no value of any other kind. They cannot be bought, sold, traded, exchanged or withdrawn. There is no currency system, no store, no wallet and no payment of any sort anywhere on this site.
This site is about arcade games. It is not about numismatics, coin collecting as a hobby, currency valuation, cryptocurrency or any form of investment, and we do not publish information or advice on any of those subjects.
How we build the games
Everything is HTML5, CSS and vanilla JavaScript. The games draw to a Canvas element using a shared engine we wrote: a fixed-timestep loop, a pooled entity system, a collectible system with configurable value and combo weighting, and a procedural generator that computes the player's real movement envelope from each game's physics before placing anything.
That last part matters more than it sounds. Because the generator knows the actual jump height and distance a game produces, it can guarantee that no gap it creates is impossible and no coin it places is unreachable. A failed jump is always a jump you could have made.
All artwork is generated from code or drawn as original SVG. All sound is synthesised at runtime with the Web Audio API — there are no audio files on this site. Nothing is sampled, traced or adapted from any existing game.
Originality
Every game, character, level, piece of artwork and line of code on this site is original work created for it. We do not use copyrighted characters, sprites, music, sound effects, level designs or branding from any other game, and we do not embed games made by anyone else.
How we write
The guides are written by the same people who build the games, which means the mechanical claims can be checked against the code rather than inferred from playing. When a guide states a specific number — a 2.2 second combo window, a gap capped at 62 percent of jump distance — that figure comes from the game's configuration.
We do not invent statistics, fabricate citations, or make claims about psychology or player behaviour that would require research to support. Our editorial policy and fact checking policy set out the detail.
Your data
We do not have accounts, and we do not track visitors. High scores, favourites, play history and sound preferences are stored in your own browser using LocalStorage and never leave your device. There is no analytics package and no advertising network installed on this site. The privacy policy lists exactly what is stored and how to remove it.
