An honest note about this byline. Alex Morgan is an editorial persona, not a real individual person. It is the name under which the small team that builds and writes this site publishes its work, so that articles have a consistent voice and a single point of accountability.
We are telling you this plainly because the alternative — presenting a fictional person as a real employee with a real career history — would be misleading. We do not claim degrees, employers, awards, certifications or professional memberships for this byline, because it does not have any.
What this byline covers
Everything published under this name is written and reviewed by the people who build the games on this site. That is the expertise we actually have, and it is a genuinely useful one for this subject: when a guide states that a combo window is 2.2 seconds or that the procedural generator caps gaps at 62 percent of jump distance, that is not an estimate from playing the game. It is the value in the configuration, and we can check it.
Editorial interests
- Collectible system design — value ladders, combo weighting and magnet rules
- Procedural generation that stays fair as difficulty rises
- Arcade game feel: variable jump height, coyote time, input buffering
- Browser game performance, particularly on mid-range mobile devices
- Accessibility in canvas games, where the usual tools do not apply
- Scoring design and what a score should actually measure
What we will not write about
We write about arcade games. We do not publish anything about real-world coin collecting, currency values, numismatics, cryptocurrency or investment of any kind. Where the word "coin" appears on this site it refers to a virtual in-game collectible, and we state that explicitly rather than leaving it ambiguous.
