About Ice Coin Run

Ice Coin Run takes the standard runner and removes most of the friction. Horizontal nudges build slowly and decay even more slowly, so any correction you make keeps affecting you long after you let go of the key. To compensate, you get a double jump — the only runner in the catalogue with one as standard. Icicles drop from the ceiling with no telegraph, which means the safe response is usually to keep your options open rather than commit to a line early.

How to play

  1. You run right automatically. Press jump once to jump, and again in mid-air for a second, slightly weaker jump.
  2. Left and right nudge you, but the low grip means corrections take time to apply and time to stop.
  3. Icicles fall from above. They give no warning, so leaving yourself a second jump is often the difference.
  4. Gaps in the ground are fatal and carry coin arcs over them.
  5. The run ends when you hit a hazard or fall through a gap.

How to collect coins in Ice Coin Run

Coin lines run along the ice at chest height, with silver coins — worth two ordinary coins — appearing more often here than in other games as compensation for the difficulty. The low grip means you frequently slide slightly past a coin line rather than stopping on it, which is exactly the situation the magnet power-up is there for.

Collectibles in this game

Collectible types and values
CollectibleWhat it is worth
CoinsThe baseline collectible, worth one unit of value.
Silver CoinsWorth two coins. Appears mixed into ordinary coin lines.

Every coin here is virtual. Coins, gems, tokens and treasure in this game are in-game collectibles with a point value inside the game and no monetary value of any kind. They cannot be bought, sold, exchanged or withdrawn, and this site has no currency system.

Power-ups in Ice Coin Run

Power-ups appear during a run and activate the moment you touch one. None of them can be bought, none carry over between runs, and collecting one you already have refreshes its duration rather than stacking it.

  • MagnetPulls nearby coins, tokens and gems toward you for seven seconds. Treasure chests are never affected.
  • ShieldAbsorbs one hit and then breaks. It saves the run, but the combo streak still resets.
  • Double ValueDoubles the value of every collectible for eight seconds. Applies before the combo multiplier, so the two stack.

How scoring works

Coins are worth 11 points before multipliers and you earn a point per metre. Silver coins appear roughly one time in three, which raises the effective value of any given line above what the other runners offer.

Points for each pickup are its base value, multiplied by any active double-value effect, multiplied by your current combo tier. Distance and completion bonuses are awarded flat, outside that chain.

The combo system

The combo window is 2.6 seconds, deliberately more generous than Coin Rush, because the slippery movement makes precise coin-line following genuinely harder. Tiers land at 5, 11, 19, 30 and 44.

Difficulty

Hard

Hard. The low grip makes fine positioning unreliable and the untelegraphed icicles mean some hazards cannot be planned for, only reacted to. The double jump and the generous combo window are there to offset that, but it remains one of the less forgiving runners.

Tips for a better score

  • Do not hold a direction key. Tap it. On ice a held nudge overshoots almost every time.
  • Save the second jump. Using both jumps to reach a coin line leaves you with nothing when an icicle drops.
  • The magnet is the single most valuable power-up here because it corrects for the sliding you cannot control.
  • When you land, expect to keep moving. Plan your landing a little short of where you actually want to end up.
  • Icicles fall straight down. If one appears above you, a sideways nudge is safer than a jump.

Features

  • Low-grip surface where momentum carries far longer than usual
  • Double jump to compensate for unreliable footing
  • Icicles that drop without warning
  • Local high scores
  • Touch controls

Ice Coin Run — frequently asked questions

Why is my collector still moving after I let go?

That is the ice. Friction is roughly a fifth of what the other runners use, so momentum persists. It is the core mechanic rather than a bug.

Do icicles give any warning?

No. That is intentional and is why you get a double jump and a wider combo window here than in the other runners.

Are the coins real currency?

No. Coins and silver coins are virtual in-game collectibles worth points only.

Is the second jump as strong as the first?

No, it is about 88 percent of the height. It is a correction, not a way to double your reach.
