About Crystal Coin Quest

Crystal Coin Quest builds almost its entire level geometry out of crumbling platforms. Each one gives you roughly half a second from first contact before it collapses, and it shakes progressively harder as the fuse burns down, so the warning is always legible — but that half-second is not enough time to stop, look around and decide. The gems are placed on exactly the platforms with the least margin. The double jump exists specifically so that a collapse under you is survivable rather than automatically fatal.

How to play

  1. Move and jump normally. A second press in mid-air gives a double jump.
  2. Crumbling platforms are warm brown rather than the theme colour. They shake once you land and collapse shortly after.
  3. Solid ground blocks do not crumble. They are your safe resting points.
  4. Three lives, respawning at the level start.
  5. Clear both levels to finish the run.

How to collect coins in Crystal Coin Quest

Coin lines sit on top of the crumbling platforms, so collecting them and crossing them is the same action. Gems, worth ten coins, are placed on the platforms that are furthest from solid ground — reaching one means committing to a chain of collapsing surfaces with no safe stop in the middle. Treasure chests appear near each exit as a reward for a route that does not simply rush the flag.

Collectibles in this game

Collectible types and values
CollectibleWhat it is worth
CoinsThe baseline collectible, worth one unit of value.
GemsWorth ten coins and counts double toward the combo streak.
TreasureWorth twenty-five coins and counts triple toward the combo. Never affected by the magnet.

Every coin here is virtual. Coins, gems, tokens and treasure in this game are in-game collectibles with a point value inside the game and no monetary value of any kind. They cannot be bought, sold, exchanged or withdrawn, and this site has no currency system.

Power-ups in Crystal Coin Quest

Power-ups appear during a run and activate the moment you touch one. None of them can be bought, none carry over between runs, and collecting one you already have refreshes its duration rather than stacking it.

  • MagnetPulls nearby coins, tokens and gems toward you for seven seconds. Treasure chests are never affected.
  • ShieldAbsorbs one hit and then breaks. It saves the run, but the combo streak still resets.
  • Double ValueDoubles the value of every collectible for eight seconds. Applies before the combo multiplier, so the two stack.

How scoring works

Coins are worth 13 points before multipliers, gems 130 and treasure 325. The high gem value is deliberate compensation for the risk of the platforms they sit on.

Points for each pickup are its base value, multiplied by any active double-value effect, multiplied by your current combo tier. Distance and completion bonuses are awarded flat, outside that chain.

The combo system

The combo window is 2.2 seconds with tiers at 5, 12, 21, 33 and 48. Because you are constantly moving, the streak builds easily — but a fall resets it along with your position.

Difficulty

Hard

Hard. The individual jumps are not demanding, but the game gives you almost nowhere to stop and think, and a single moment of hesitation mid-chain is usually fatal.

Tips for a better score

  • Decide your whole route across a chain of crumbling platforms before you touch the first one.
  • Keep your double jump unused while crossing a chain. It is your only recovery when a platform goes early.
  • Solid grey blocks are safe. Use them as checkpoints to plan the next section from.
  • A platform that has already started shaking will not hold you a second time. Do not plan a return trip across one.
  • If a gem requires a chain with no solid ground in it and you are on your last life, skip it. The gem is worth 130 points; finishing the level is worth 1250.

Features

  • Most surfaces crumble about half a second after contact
  • Platforms shake harder the closer they are to collapsing
  • Double jump to recover from a collapse
  • Gems placed on the shortest-fuse platforms
  • Two levels, three lives

Crystal Coin Quest — frequently asked questions

How long do crumbling platforms last?

About 0.6 seconds from first contact. They shake harder as that runs down, so you always get a visual warning.

Do crumbled platforms come back?

Not within the same attempt. They return when you respawn or restart the level.

Are the gems and treasure worth real money?

No. They are virtual in-game collectibles. Their value exists only in the game's scoring.

Is the double jump always available?

Yes, once per airborne period. It refreshes when you land on anything, including a crumbling platform.
